Adura Technologies wins High Performance Product Award

SAN FRANCISCO -– Adura Technologies, a leading provider of wireless lighting controls and energy management systems, has been announced as the sole winner in the High Performance Product Award category of the 2011 Beyond Green™ High Performance Building Awards. Adura’s Wireless Lighting Control System took top honors with the “Citation for Innovation in New Product Design for Sustainability” from the National Institute of Building Sciences’ (NIBS) Sustainable Buildings Industry Council.

“Adura’s Wireless Lighting Control System is in use in more than 96 high performance locations by more than 67 customers,” said Mark Golan, CEO of Adura Technologies. “The success of our product demonstrated by the growth of our customer base and installations speaks for itself but it is wonderful to receive outside validation by the National Institute of Building Sciences.”

Adura garnered the High Performance Product Award based on several criteria:

• The whole-building high-performance design objectives the product fulfills
• The benefits the product provides to the owner/client, improving safety, comfort and/or decreasing operational costs
• The unique aspects of the product and discuss the innovative problem solving.
• How the product promotes energy savings and/or the use of renewable resources
o The product source materials and their lifecycle
o What is done with the product after its functional use
• How the product is used to bring together a unified team to address the various integrated design objectives

2011 Beyond Green™ High Performance Building Awards recognize initiatives that shape, inform and catalyze the high-performance building market, as well as the real-world application of high-performance construction practices. The awards program is open to all and offers three entry categories: High‐Performance Initiatives, High‐Performance Buildings and High‐Performance Products.
