U.S. Cellular Field home of the Chicago White Sox scores a real deal with upgraded LED lighting from PolyBrite International

Date Announced: 10 Jul 2012 Naperville, IL. – U.S. Cellular Field, owned by the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority and home of the Chicago White Sox, is in the zone by replacing dated lighting fixtures with PolyBrite Borealis® LED Panel Lights in concession stands and workstations throughout the ballpark. With up to 2.9 million fans passing through the hallways of U.S. Cellular Field annually, Borealis® LED Panels are improving the appearance, safety and security of busy areas.“These lights far surpassed my expectations as soon as they were installed in the first few stands,” said Don Esposito, Senior Director of Purchasing, Construction for Chicago White Sox. “This will have quite an impact on our fans and employees, definitely enhancing the appearance of the concessions, and increasing work productivity.” Mr. Esposito further noted, “Congratulations to PolyBrite. All I can say is WOW!”PolyBrite replaced the severely outdated T12 U-Bend Fluorescent tubes, which consume 78 Watts per fixture, with Borealis 2 x 2 LED Flat Panels, which consume only 50 Watts per fixture.
