Spot on, clear the stage for Sharp's Zenigata LED portfolio

March 27, 2012
Date Announced: 27 Mar 2012 Hamburg, 27 March 2012 – 50W / CRI of up to 93 / up to 7,000 lm – these are the key parameters of the new Mega Zenigata LED module series presented by Sharp (Hall 4.2 / Stand J71) as a highlight at the Light + Building in Frankfurt am Main. Thanks to its highly-developed array production, the company offers a portfolio of more than 100 LED modules in finely graded performance classes. Depending on brightness, the LED modules are based on a different number of dies. This enables Sharp to almost seamlessly cover a brightness spectrum of 5 to 7,000 lm. In addition, the portfolio provides a broad spectrum of colour temperatures, ranging from 2,700 to 6,500 Kelvin in the nuances “warm, neutral, pure and cool white“.Particularly for spotlights and downlights, Sharp offers the product family of Mega Zenigata arrays with a luminous flux between 1,150 and 7,000 lm, along with its little sister, the Mini Zenigata series, with a luminous flux between 300 and 1,550 lm. Based on the Mega Zenigata range from Sharp, entire series of lamps and lights of varying brightness can be mounted with identical reflectors, lenses and housing forms, owing to their mechanical and optical compatibility. Best suited for area lighting, however, are the LEDs of the SAE and Pico Zenigata series, with their luminous flux ranging from 5 to 75 lm.All LED arrays from Sharp are characterised by their long service life of up to 40,000 h at an operating temperature of 90°C and by their high light quality. The LEDs typically have a CRI value of at least 80 across all colour temperatures. The high colour rendering modules of the Mega Zenigata series even achieve CRI values of up to (typically) 93. In connection with a good light yield, they thereby meet the requirements of the international Energy Star Program and other industry standards. With its comprehensive portfolio, Sharp addresses a broad spectrum of different applications, from night desk lamps to street lights, lighting for living areas, stores and shops, and lighting for office buildings as well as for streets, paths and factory halls. For these different worlds of applications, Sharp exhibits examples of lamps at the stand that customers have already designed, based upon LED arrays.
