Zemax announces availability of OpticStudioTM 14
-- OpticStudio 14 revolutionizes optics and illumination design software--
REDMOND, Washington -- Zemax introduces a new level of productivity to optics and illumination simulation software with OpticStudio 14. Built on Zemax’s industry proven core physics engine, OpticStudio 14 is fast, reliable and accurate. OpticStudio 14 is built around four key user needs;
Engineered for the way you work with a redesigned user interface -- Quick navigation ribbon menus make finding tools and settings quick and simple. A System Explorer sidebar allows for fast convenient data entry. System data editors now feature familiar spreadsheet controls including cut and paste directly to Excel and other programs. And configurable Windows management capabilities allow users to customize their desktop workspace.
Unmatched design visualization featuring a powerful new graphics engine -- Complete flexibility to understand and communicate system parameters. Easily create 2D and 3D models with dynamic cutting surfaces, options for solid or wireframes models plus intuitive controls to pan, rotate, tilt, and zoom to investigate every detail.
Precise design validation using cutting edge 2D and 3D charting tools - Extensive customization capabilities to interactively explore data points, rescale, and rotate charts to view data from all angles, modify colors, view false color or interrogate the data table with a single click. Charts are easily exported for use in reports and presentations.
Improved system performance with advanced data architecture -- A “calculate once analyze many” methodology and GPU accelerated graphics and charting combine with 64 bit multi-thread multi-CPU capabilities for the fastest simulation, analysis, and optimization available at any price. Calculated data saves directly to the file so there is never a lag time when reopening
“OpticStudio 14 has been engineered for the way our customers work” said Dr. Mark Nicholson, Vice President Zemax. ”The OpticStudio team has listened to users and taken the input to heart. OpticStudio 14 enables engineers, scientist, and researchers to design and analyze models in a natural workflow, maximizing creative potential and vastly reducing time to solution.”
