ANC Sports to upgrade Camden Yards with Diamond Vision LED video system

Jan. 17, 2008
Date Announced: 17 Jan 2008 -- ANC to Install Over 5,000 Square Feet of LED Signage Purchase, New York -- The Maryland Stadium Authority selected ANC Sports Enterprises to renovate Camden Yards' existing light emitting diode (LED) signage and video screen system with Mitsubishi Electric's state-of-the-art Diamond Vision technology for the 2008 Major League Baseball season. Highlighted by a new 24-by-74-foot 20mm Quad Diamond Vision video screen, which will be positioned on top of the scoreboard, the new LED signage system will feature more than 5,000 square feet of animated signage. "The Maryland Stadium Authority takes pride in operating top quality major league facilities, for which we are recognized nationally," Chairman Fred Puddester said in a statement. "This new, state-of-the-art video system will enhance the experience of our fans at our ballpark by providing a more dynamic visual presentation and allowing them to feel more of the action." ANC Sports is also replacing the existing main scoreboard with a 30-by-40 foot full color Diamond Vision matrix, while the right field outfield wall will come to life with a 14½-by-68 foot out-of-town scoreboard capable of displaying full motion video. The video display system renovation also includes over 200 feet of LED "ribbon" on both the upper and lower deck fascia. "We are proud that the Maryland Stadium Authority selected Diamond Vision for the scoreboard renovation project at Camden Yards," said Mark Foster, general manager of Mitsubishi Electric's Diamond Vision Systems. "We look forward to enhancing the already memorable fan experience at one of the nation's most prestigious ballparks with this new high-definition display system." Through a multi-year agreement, ANC will operate the new Diamond Vision displays with its patent pending VisionSOFT software. Driven by ANC's 3D interface, the signage will simultaneously transition from live video, replays, and full motion team graphics to real-time statistics, out-of-town scores and other game information. ANC will also continue to provide Camden Yards with rotational signage. "We are excited to expand our relationship with the Baltimore Orioles by installing a state-of-the-art high-definition display system at Camden Yards," said Jerry Cifarelli, president and chief executive officer of ANC Sports Enterprises. "We look forward to providing Orioles fans with one of the premier video experiences in baseball." ANC Design will create animations, advertisements and statistical templates for the entire display system. The signage system will be completed before Opening Day. In addition to the renovation of Camden Yards, ANC is currently completing the installation of the video display system for the Washington Nationals' new ballpark, which will debut on Opening Day.About ANC SportsANC Sports Enterprises, LLC, a full service marketing company, specializes in providing complete signage solutions that generate maximum sponsorship and advertising revenue while enhancing the overall fan experience.
