Delta Reveals Innovative, Energy Efficient LED Solutions at IFA 2008 Berlin

Aug. 20, 2008
Date Announced: 20 Aug 2008 Delta Electronics Inc. will reveal two new LED products for the first time at the upcoming IFA 2008 Berlin show from August 29 to September 3. The new products include LED modules for automotive exterior lighting as well as prototypes for outdoor display LED modules. Delta will also demo the LED E27 incandescent replacement bulb and the Mix-color Module for household applications first shown at Frankfurt Light+Building 2008. Details for each of Delta’s LED solutions include the following:LED modules for automotive exterior lighting: This LED module has a unique design that uses lightweight, cost-effective PCB layers instead of a heavy metal structure behind a plastic casing. The design facilitates transportation and the assembly process, as well as lowering cost and preserving the environment by using fewer materials. Delta’s LED module is suitable for different automotive exterior lighting applications including signals, brake, reverse, and CHMSL.Outdoor display LED modules: Outdoor displays are a widely accepted and mature application, yet Delta’s LED outdoor display modules offer much improved features such as 16-bit true color reproduction and a 7680-Hz high video refresh rate. Innovative LED error detection facilitates system and user convenience. Modules may also be combined anytime and anywhere according to application demand.Delta’s LED E27 incandescent replacement bulb- Most LED lamps available today have a large heat sink for thermal dissipation, which either conflicts with lighting fixtures in size or in aesthetics and are therefore limited as spotlights or down lights.Delta’s LED E27 incandescent replacement bulb offers a corresponding solution to the problem by having a unique non-exposed heat sink design. It also comes in the same size as a traditional A19 incandescent bulb to avoid incompatibility concerns. Delta’s LED E27 incandescent replacement bulb comes with E26 and B22d screw bases too.Delta’s Mix-color Module- Delta’s Mix-color Module uses RBGY LEDs to soften light, to increase Color Rendering Index (CRI), and to avoid the use of expensive white LEDs. It creates no glare, no double shadows, and no radiation to weaken users’ vision. The module is customized in brightness, color temperature variation, CRI, and dimensions. It comes with power and control design. With a reputation for quality, service and manufacturing eco-friendly and energy efficient products, Delta has swiftly and wholeheartedly entered the LED and HCPV fields. This year, Delta Electronics, Inc., Delta Networks, Inc. and DelSolar Co., Ltd. will exhibit a full portfolio of innovative, clean and efficient energy solutions and applications at IFA, covering renewable energy, networking and communications, display solutions, power management, and more. Delta welcomes everyone to visit its booth located at Hall 27, Booth No. 615 at IFA 2008 Berlin.# # #About Delta GroupDelta Group is the world’s largest provider of switching power supplies and brushless fans, as well as a major source for power management solutions, components, visual displays, industrial automation, networking products, and renewable energy solutions.
