Harvard expands dimmable LED driver range

Feb. 11, 2011
Date Announced: 11 Feb 2011 Harvard, a leading player in the LED and wireless street lighting industries, is pleased to announce it has extended its range of dimmable LED drivers. The company’s CoolLED DALI and 1-10V analogue drivers are now also available in 1.2A and 1.4A versions.Harvard’s dimmable LED drivers deliver dimming capabilities across a wide range of output currents, which means users can maximise their energy savings and create different levels of lighting by smoothly dimming LEDs at specific times. The DALI drivers allow customers to use digital programming to set different lighting and ambient levels for displays, thereby maximising their investment. The 1-10V analogue drivers can be simply programmed with a fixed or variable resistor and deliver high efficiency as well as high power factor. Harvard’s DALI drivers are being installed in a wide variety of buildings across the UK and Europe including for example, retail outlets, car showrooms and hotels. Michael McDonnell, sales and marketing director at Harvard, commented, “There is a growing demand for a wide variety of dimmable LED drivers. To further meet this demand, we have expanded the range to include 1.2A and 1.4A solutions.”The company’s full range of DALI and 1-10V analogue drivers includes; 350mA, 500mA, 700mA, 1000mA, 1.2A, and 1.4A. Harvard’s range of dimmable LED drivers will be further enhanced in 2011 with the launch of the ‘Leading’ and ‘Trailing’ Phase Triac Mains dimmable drivers.
