Date Announced: 19 May 2011 Boston, MA - Digital Lumens announced that the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center's (MassCEC) world-class Wind Technology Testing Center (WTTC), which opened today, is illuminated with the LED-based Digital Lumens Intelligent Lighting System™. The WTTC facility -- the first commercial large blade test facility in the nation -- is designed to attract wind technology and other renewable energy technology companies to Massachusetts.The Intelligent Lighting System from Boston-based Digital Lumens was chosen based on several factors: using 66% less energy than traditional lighting alternatives; the ability to provide required light levels from the 80-foot ceiling heights of the facility; integrated networking and intelligence to maximize energy savings; ease of installation; and, elimination of maintenance and re-lamping associated with other lighting sources.
