Philips wins red dot awards for product design 2011
Eindhoven, the Netherlands – After announcing the high number of iF product design awards the beginning of February, Philips is proud to announce new award success in its ongoing journey for bringing design excellence in product design to the market. A total of 17 Philips projects are awarded in the “red dot award: product design 2011.”

SpeedStar is an energy-efficient luminaire requiring minimal maintenance and incorporating the easy-to-upgrade LEDGINE, which can be connected to lighting regulation systems for further energy savings.”
The red dot can be seen as a prestigious recognition for Philips innovative design across all its sectors: Healthcare, Consumer Lifestyle and Lighting. Most of the awarded red dot design already won an iF award with the remark that StyliD won an iF gold award and SpeedStar is winner of the best of the best red dot product design award 2011.
