Date Announced: 21 Jul 2011 Dallas, Texas-based LED fixture manufacturer Aphos Lighting has announced that their latest series of LM-79 testing has yielded documented fixture performance of 98lm/W in the Solera 5He model. The enhanced performance is the result of several factors including high performance heat sink structure and a newly developed type 5 optic. This TIR optic was developed specifically for use in low bay and parking garage applications. The Solera 5He with the 5SM optic delivers excellent vertical illumination that typically exceeds existing standards in various configurations of parking garages. The optic has also proved to be very effective for area lighting in the fast growing market for HID shoebox replacement.
