Date Announced: 14 Oct 2011 Darren Zwicker, Executive Vice-President of LED Roadway Lighting Ltd (LRL), is pleased to announce the appointment of Stewart Hamel as Director of Business Development – Eastern US.Stew has over twenty-five years of lighting industry experience in product design, manufacturing, marketing and sales. As co-founder of Alumitron Corporation, he designed and marketed an extensive line of architectural extruded aluminum linear fluorescent luminaires. After selling the company to Juno Lighting, he assumed the position of VP of Sales for Juno’s linear subsidiary. Alumination Products, Inc. (API) was his second lighting start up, specializing in custom lighting for retail national accounts. Kramer Lighting purchased API and Stew came aboard as Sales Manager. For the past five years, he has been involved in the LED business as sales manager for Renaissance Lighting, an LED architectural lighting company, now part of Acuity Brands, and as an independent consultant for Gallium Lighting, Axo Light and others. Cultivating relationships with sales reps, specifiers, end users and distributors to grow sales in the Commercial and Industrial segments of the industry has been key to his success.
