AG-DALI pays tribute to outstanding lighting projects for fourth time

Date Announced: 07 Oct 2011 -- Closing date for applications 31 January 2012Frankfurt am Main - The activity group (AG) DALI is inviting entries for the fourth DALI Award, a prize for outstanding DALI-based lighting projects realised in the last two years. The award ceremony will be held in April 2012 at the world"s largest lighting trade fair, Light & Building in Frankfurt am Main.The DALI Award is presented in recognition of new and innovative lighting applications in which DALI components are used for enhanced lighting quality and convenience. DALI stands for "Digital Addressable Lighting Interface" and identifies a digital interface for intelligent lighting management that is in international use across the lighting industry.Participation in the DALI Award 2012 competition is open to lighting design and architecture offices as well as luminaire, ballast and control equipment manufacturers. Reference projects can be in the private, industrial, commercial or public sector. One condition is that they need to have been realised between 1 January 2010 and 31 December 2011. The criteria used to assess the projects submitted include energy efficiency, convenience of operation and lighting design. The closing date for applications is 31 January 2012.This prestigious competition is held every two years and is open to entries from all over the world.
