Creative Systems Lighting illuminates the design industry with new LED collection

Sept. 19, 2011
Date Announced: 19 Sep 2011 City of Industry, Calif. – CSL® (Creative Systems Lighting), pioneers of the first applications in recessed architectural downlighting, has launched a new collection of energy-efficient LED recessed lighting. The LED collection includes the Eco-Downlight—the only true "green" replacement for the 50-Watt MR16 lamp; the Adjustable Eco-Downlight with a rotating heat sync; and the Eco-Downlight Mini, which offers a compact 1 3/8-inch aperture."As more retail, hospitality, office, healthcare and residential environments move toward energy-efficient LED technology, our new Eco-Downlight collection sets a new standard in energy-efficient lighting," said Steve Nadell, president of Troy Lighting-CSL. "The Eco-Downlight collection fulfills a need for recessed lighting that reduces HVAC expenses, decreases maintenance costs and illuminates beautifully. We’ve managed to accomplish all three tasks without sacrificing the style that designers have come to expect from CSL year after year."The Eco-Downlight offers an average-rated lamp life of 50,000 hours, at 70 percent lumen maintenance, compared to the equivalent MR16’s 2,000 hours, and a 1025 lumen-rated light engine while only utilizing 16 Watts—a 34-Watt savings. The Adjustable Eco-Downlight offers the same energy-efficiency as the original Eco-Downlight, but its rotating heat sync makes it suitable for highly technical projects with insulated ceilings and airtight applications. The Eco-Downlight Mini is even more compact with a 1 3/8-inch aperture and a 650 lumen-rated light engine, which uses only 11 Watts—a 24-Watt savings. The Eco-Downlight and the Eco-Downlight Mini can also be applied to new construction projects or retrofits. All of CSL’s LED Eco-Downlights are UL-listed and Energy-Star compliant. They are available with a selection of trims and finishes designed to accommodate most applications—whether it’s a residential, hospitality or commercial setting. Round or square trims are available, as are multiple optics in 25 degrees, 45 degrees and 65 degrees. Options for finishes include white powder coat or satin aluminum.About CSL® CSL® (Creative Systems Lighting) has been designing and manufacturing performance-engineered architectural lighting fixtures since 1990. Known as the pacesetter in low voltage small aperture recessed lighting, CSL, in conjunction with GE, pioneered the first MR16 application in recessed architectural downlighting, allowing architects and designers to focus the pattern of light on an object of their choice. In addition, CSL also specializes in under-cabinet lighting and decorative lighting tailor-made for the design and architectural community. With design and manufacturing teams in Europe, Asia and the United States, CSL continues to revolutionize the way architects and lighting designers perceive technical performance with each new lighting innovation.
