Date Announced: 25 Nov 2011 LED-Butiken has used Bits2Power to control the LED lighting in all the rooms on Biostaden Cinema in Nyköping Sweden.The reason why Bits2Power is used in this cinema is because this system is designed in such a way that it can be tailored to many lighting protocols, such as Dali, DMX/RDM, Ethernet, etc. The movie projector is directly controlling the Bits2Power system via DMX. Furthermore Bits2Power is based on 2 wires only (power and communication over the same wires). This makes it the easiest lighting control system to install today. By using only 2 wires the Bits2Power system need up to 50% less copper wiring than conventional lighting systems. Bits2Power can also smoothly dim LED light to 0% wherever and whenever it is needed. To realize the perfect lighting solution in this cinema, the Bits2Power Power Data Controller (PDC) and 700mA LED Drivers are used. Each LED downlight spot has its own LED Driver.
