Located in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, along the Union Pacific Railroad line, this prominent commuter station roughly bisects the community of 19,000.As the need arose to replace bulbs for the Cary station street posts, Union Pacific Railroad Manager Mark Oshinski explained that the current process is to retrofit the posts for LED. Although the term may apply to any number of environmentally responsible adaptations, in this instance it refers to retrofitting an electric lamp to accept LED replacement bulbs where HID, halogen, fluorescent or incandescent bulbs previously existed.
