DiCon Lighting spins off FiberLamp as distinct business unit

March 31, 2011
Date Announced: 31 Mar 2011 Richmond, CA – DiCon Lighting will roll out its line of fiber optic illuminators as a stand-alone brand and business unit under the name FiberLamp to further promote and extend the use of fiber optic applications in all lighting industries. DiCon Lighting will act as the parent company for FiberLamp and its other business units: Cielux and Kessil. FiberLamp will continue to redefine fiber optic illumination by coupling Dense Matrix LED technology with traditional fiber optic lighting techniques in professional and specialty lighting. “FiberLamp illuminators serve a very niche market in the architecture and entertainment lighting industries. We are excited to focus our efforts and create a targeted brand that will strongly resonate with these customers,” said Brian Chiang, Managing Director of Marketing and Sales for DiCon Lighting. By spinning off into a distinct business unit, FiberLamp can better cater its products and branding toward individuals and projects that use both end and side emitting fiber including cove lighting, decorative lighting, starfield illumination, pool lighting and display case lighting. Moreover, as a distinct business unit, FiberLamp’s product development team will also be able to directly focus on pushing more innovative products tailored toward key market segments.
