Date Announced: 26 Apr 2013 Thailand’s first and biggest international exhibition on LED products, LED EXPO Thailand 2013 will take place at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre from 23 May to 25 May 2013. Hosted by Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), LED EXPO Thailand 2013 is an international exhibition on LED lighting products and technology. Thailand’s lighting market is valued at 7 billion baht in 2011, with an annual growth of 4% from the previous year. LED lighting accounts for 12% of the total lighting market, and this is expected to grow by 45 to 50% by 2015, driven by demands and government initiatives to promote the use of energy efficient and eco-friendly lighting technology. The Ministry of Energy plans to reduce energy consumption by 20% in 2030 and is pushing for the use of LED technology. Therefore, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand will use this exhibition to promote high quality LED lighting products, and as well as to showcase Thai companies involved in LED lighting products and technology.Sponsored by companies such as Philips and ICE LED, the exhibition will see the largest gathering of industry players in the LED sector.
