(April 23, 2013) – North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA has expanded its robust portfolio of ULTRA LED lamps, offering new energy-efficient replacements for incandescent, halogen, fluorescent and metal halide lamps, including several first to market innovations. The new ULTRA LED lamps and other leading lighting technologies from OSRAM SYLVANIA will be shown at Booth #1001 at LIGHTFAIR® International 2013, the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference. “Our comprehensive portfolio of SYLVANIA ULTRA LED lamps help specifiers find the right lighting solution for the job, whether it’s track, downlight, cove or a range of other applications,” said Ellen Sizemore, product portfolio manager LED lamps, OSRAM SYLVANIA. “Our LED lamps provide the energy and maintenance savings businesses and facilities are looking for and the high-quality illumination one can expect from OSRAM SYLVANIA.” ULTRA 25 LED Lamp Family The ULTRA 25 LED Lamp Family delivers an inviting 2500K color temperature specifically designed to create the relaxing atmosphere desired in hospitality applications. With the warm color quality of dimmed incandescent lamps, the ULTRA 25 LED portfolio includes lamp types most often found in ambient, accent, and decorative luminaires in these settings. The B10, BR40, PAR20, PAR30 and MR16 lamps are energy efficient replacements for traditional incandescent and halogen lamps, offering up to 86 percent energy savings, and are dimmable down to 10 percent via phase-cut dimming. ULTRA B13 LED Lamp First to market, the SYLVANIA ULTRA B13 LED lamp is the brightest, dimming LED replacement for a 40W incandescent B10 lamp, with an industry-leading light output of 330 lumens. Offering energy savings of 86 percent and lasting 10 times longer than traditional incandescent lamps, the ULTRA B13 LED lamp provides sparkling light that is ideal for residential and hospitality applications in decorative fixtures, such as chandeliers and wall sconces. It is available in 2500K and 2700K with candelabra and medium bases. ULTRA HO PAR38 LED Lamp Winner of a Gold 2013 Design Journal Award for Design Excellence (ADEX), the first to market 15W SYLVANIA ULTRA HO PAR38 LED lamp is an energy saving, easy replacement for 24W medium based, self-ballasted metal halide PAR lamps, lasting two times longer and offering better lumen maintenance. Available in 10° spot and 25° narrow flood beam spreads, the high output lamp delivers exceptional beam performance for precision accent lighting applications without compromising color quality. The ULTRA HO PAR38 LED lamp offers excellent color consistency within a 4-step MacAdam ellipse, and unlike metal halide, there is no color shift over the life of the lamp or waiting for warm-up or re-strike. The lamp provides significant energy savings up to 37 percent compared to conventional light sources, reduces maintenance costs due to its up to 50,000 hours (L70) lamp life, and are ETL approved for use in damp locations. ULTRA HO T8 LED Lamps The SYLVANIA ULTRA HO T8 LED lamps are energy saving alternatives to traditional fluorescent T12 or T8 lamps. The innovative optic design and distribution pattern reduces lumen loss from within traditional recessed luminaires. A premium alternative to standard ULTRA T8 LED lamps, ULTRA HO T8 LED lamps are suitable for more demanding commercial applications, with higher efficacy of up to 105 lumens per watt, higher light output of up to 1100 lumens for the 2-foot lamp and up to 2300 lumens for the 4-foot lamp, and a longer lamp life of 60,000 hours (L70). The lamps can help reduce energy consumption up to 35 percent and lower maintenance costs. With no warm-up, instant-on illumination, ULTRA HO T8 LED lamps offer uniform light distribution and are ideal for cooler/freezer case, cove, display case, parking garage, industrial and tunnel applications. Available in 3500K, 4100K and 5000K color temperatures, SYLVANIA ULTRA HO T8 LED lamps are available for new luminaire development and as UL Classified retrofit kits, which are DesignLights Consortium® qualified for utility incentives. They are glass-free, vibration and impact-resistant, and emit no UV radiation. Dimmable options are also available for further energy savings. Also at LIGHTFAIR, OSRAM SYLVANIA is expanding the SYLVANIA ULTRA SE™ LED family of lamps with Sunset Effect™, incandescent-like dimming. Available in PAR38 with BR/R types coming this fall, SYLVANIA ULTRA SE LED lamps combine energy efficiency with the flexibility of customizing mood and ambience in any setting. Finally, the company has expanded the SYLVANIA ULTRA iQ™ family of LED lamps with integrated wireless dimming control.
