Harvard Engineering supplies CoolLED drivers for Tempo Industries' luminaires
Harvard Engineering, world leader in the design, development and manufacture of LED drivers and controls products for the lighting market, has supplied its leading CL Slim driver, part of the CoolLED range, to Tempo Industries for use in the company’s C7100 high-performance linear luminaire.
The CoolLED range of drivers provides a high performance solution for powering high-brightness LEDs from a mains supply. The CL Slim power factor corrected class II driver has fully isolated, SELV output delivering up to 33W of power.
The C7100 is part of the C7 configurable lighting integrated platform (CLIP), which provides a diverse family of solutions that can be uniquely integrated to serve a broad range of specific applications. The C7100 has been specifically designed to address higher-lumen commercial and industrial applications, with the light’s rigid design and adjustable mounting points easing installation and lowering the cost of ownership. The architecturally minimalist luminaire is designed to deliver 85%+ lumen maintenance over 10 years or 86,000 hours, which would outlast most common building renovation cycles.
Harvard’s CL Slim driver is mounted to a tension-loaded carrier within the C7100, pressed into solid contact with the extruded aluminium raceway housing for maximum thermal transfer.
Dennis Pearson, Tempo Industries’ Chairman & CTO, commented, "Tempo introduced its first LED-based lighting products into the theatrical marketplace in the late 1980s, and have built that experience into our ‘No Factory in the Field’ commitment, meaning we have engineered products that truly are ready-to-install, without experimentation or modifications needed by our customers. In line with that commitment, Tempo’s CLIP platform has undergone a meticulous engineering process that includes only the highest quality components, in order to reach the 85%+ lumen maintenance, 10 year service lifetime rating of our C7100.”
Mr. Pearson added, “Harvard Engineering has been able to consistently meet our high standards, and we are pleased to include their power supplies as part of our CLIP C7 modular high-performance linear LED platform."
The C7100, together with Harvard Engineering’s CoolLED driver, comes with a full five year guarantee.
Antony Corrie, Vice President of Harvard Engineering Americas, commented, “It is fantastic that Tempo Industries has chosen to use the CoolLED CL Slim driver in its CLIP C7 system. The CoolLED range of drivers is market leading and the CL Slim driver was the perfect fit for this particular light system.”
All Harvard’s products are manufactured in the UK and are readily available in the USA through the company’s sales offices in San Diego, California.
