Date Announced: 09 Jul 2013 Eindhoven, The Netherlands – Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) has announced the introduction Fortimo LED Line Square 1ft 1250lm 830, 840 and 865. The Fortimo LED Line Square is a new and innovative shaped LED line system with square outer dimensions. The system delivers high energy efficiency up to 145 lm/W and high quality of homogeneous light, ideal for luminaires that require a uniform surface lit exit window; e.g. 600x600 luminaires. The Fortimo LED Line Square modules are hybrid systems, meaning that the same module can be used in a high or low voltage system, by simply wiring it differently. “The LED Line Square systems are designed to replace fluorescent lighting in recessed, surface mounted and suspended office luminaires. Even in luminaires as shallow as 4,5cm depth, the Fortimo LED Line Square system achieves a very uniform high quality of light with a color consistency of < 3,5 SDCM. This contributes to creating a pleasant working environment in offices”, says Epco Berger Philips’ Regional Product manager LED Linear systems.The Fortimo LED Line Square modules achieve great uniformity and have very high energy efficiency: up to 145 lm/W. The Fortimo Future Proof claim from Philips also applies to the Fortimo LED Line Square systems, providing modules and systems that will improve with generation upgrades, but remain constant in optical, mechanical, thermal and electrical interfaces. The outer dimensions (270x270) of the square module are Zhaga compliant.The Fortimo LED Line Square systems are complemented by the Philips Xitanium LED drivers for linear lighting. These drivers enable a wide range of luminaires with configurations from 2 up to 10 modules. The Fortimo LED line Generation 2 and LED Line High Flux have also recently been introduced, expanding the Fortimo LED line product family to cover all linear lighting applications for office and industry purposes.
