Dec. 23, 2013
Date Announced: 23 Dec 2013 Celtic ManorProject BriefCeltic Manor had a large quantity of inefficient halogen lights across many parts of the resort and its associated buildings. Looking at the energy savings possible from a new installation, a full resort analysis proposed efficient LED lighting over the existing traditional lamps. From the main lobby to restaurant bars, atriums and convention centres it was imperative that the luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere of the existing lighting system was maintained. Many of these lights are operating for up to 24h per day and offer the largest savings and fastest payback possible. This analysis submitted that there would be a possible 77% reduction in energy costs making payback possible in under 1 year. This figure is further enhanced by reduced maintenance and replacement costs over the lifetime of the LEDs.DetailsNew installation of various LED products including:- 7.1W Toshiba GU10 lamps replacing 35W and 50W halogen lamps in all public areas- Lux levels maintained- 35 degree beam angle for general lighting- 2700K colour temperature- Toshiba PAR30s were then installed in all conference rooms
