Global Lighting Association partners with Global Off-Grid Lighting Association to share lighting industry expertise

Date Announced: 02 Sep 2013 Brussels, Belgium — The Global Lighting Association (GLA) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Global Off-Grid Lighting Association (GOGLA) in order to coordinate knowledge and action in the field of global lighting.The Global Off-Grid Lighting Association (http://globaloff-gridlightingassociation.org/) acts as the industry advocate with a focus on small and medium enterprises. It is a neutral, independent, not-for-profit association created to promote lighting solutions that benefit society and businesses in developing and emerging markets. GOGLA supports industry in the market penetration of clean, quality alternative lighting systems.The partnership represents an excellent opportunity to share competences and expertise, particularly in relation to the development of off-grid networks. Additionally, as Jan Denneman, president of the Global Lighting Association states, "Both organizations share a commitment to the development and promotion of sustainable energy efficient solutions for lighting.
