Date Announced: 01 Nov 2013 The municipality of Raalte wants to achieve energy savings of eighty percent in parking ‘Het Ship’ by replacing their conventional fixtures for LED fixtures. The current consumption is hundred thousand kilowatt hours per year.After extensive research and comparison the Municipality of Raalte also decided to switch to Rentalite's Premium Power LED fixtures. These luminaires equipped with the special basic dimming system achieve a saving of more than 80% of the current energy consumption with an equivalent light image.In parking garage ‘Het Ship’, the Premium Power LED fixtures are being installed with external motion sensors. By using the basic dimming technology, the PPL fixtures will dim to 10% when there is no movement, this results in an additional 90% savings compared to the full power of the PPL fixtures. The power consumption of the PPL fixtures will go from 29.7 to 3 watts.
