Harvard Engineering supplies CoolLED drivers for lighting upgrades at Greggs Local Bakery stores

Date Announced: 13 Nov 2013

Harvard Engineering, world leader in the design, development and manufacture of control products for the lighting industry, has supplied its leading range of CoolLED drivers for use in Greggs Local Bakery stores.

The CL1000S-240-C driver from the CoolLED range was chosen alongside Gamma Illumination’s 2700K TTX-RF and GTX-RF fittings to help Gregg’s achieve its energy efficiency targets, as well as reducing maintenance costs, adding ‘sparkle’ to the ceiling, and creating a level of ambience.

A tailored solution was created, addressing all the requirements whilst also looking stylish and modern. Steve Norman, shopfitting programme manager at Greggs, commented, “We are delighted with the result of the new Greggs the Bakery format and look forward to rolling the concept out over the next 12 months.”

The fittings will now be installed in the refurbishment of 300 stores, as well as in 100 new stores planned to open over the next year.

Russell Fletcher, sales and marketing director for Harvard Engineering, said, “The tailored solution for Greggs, with Gamma Illumination, not only addresses all the customers’ requirements but also provides the additional benefits of being modern and stylish. This showcases our ability to adapt our drivers to customers’ needs and we look forward to seeing the end result across all the stores following the installation of the fitting.”

Harvard Engineering’s CoolLED drivers provide a high performance solution for powering high brightness LEDs from a mains supply. They are all open and short circuit protected as well as having an over temperature trip. The high efficiency design ensures a long life and the benefit of a very low power off.
