Advantek doubles Shanghai factory size to meet growing demand for carrier tape

Date Announced: 09 Aug 2013 Advantek, Inc., a global leader in delivering advanced carrier tape solutions, has completed the move of its Shanghai operations into a new larger facility. The new expanded factory, double the size of the old plant, was built in response to growing global demand for precision high quality carrier tape from the semiconductor, electronic, and LED industries. It is located just two kilometers of the old plant within the Wai Gao Qiao free trade zone business park.This new state of the art facility will manufacture Advantek’s complete line of carrier tape in polystyrene (PS) and polycarbonate (PC) materials. Also installed are new advanced systems capable of supporting the industry’s emerging requirements for very small devices and bare die.Combining this latest China investment with factories in Taiwan and the Philippines, Advantek has greatly enhanced its capacity and flexibility to support our customer’s ever changing needs for the latest in carrier tape solutions. These new capabilities in China will also add to Advantek’s unmatched customer service reputation through its network of manufacturing sites, regional distribution centers and local customer application teams throughout Asia, North America, and Europe.Advantek offers a broad range of precision component packaging products including embossed carrier tapes, anti-static cover tapes, shipping reels, static shielding / moisture barrier bags, desiccants, humidity indicator cards and other packaging products.
