Faraday acquires insulated metal substrate capability for LED manufacturing

Date Announced: 28 Aug 2013 Faraday Printed Circuits Ltd, of Washington, Tyne & Wear, United Kingdom, announced the acquisition of a Tongtai Machine Co. CVC 700 CNC Auto-loading V-Scoring System as part of a continued investment programme to further strengthen the company’s technology capabilities. Increased capacityDue in late September the machine will further expand the capacity and technology levels of the Washington plant which currently supplies to customers across the UK, Europe and AsiaWith Lubricating Mist as well as Chilled Air cooling systems, producing superb quality V-Scoring on aluminum panels, it will enable Faraday to further compete in the rapidly expanding LED lighting market by adding IMS (insulated metal substrate) material as a standard capability, alongside multilayer, PTH double sided, flexible, flex-rigid and conventional pcb manufacture.
