NICHIA expands German site into European headquarters

Sept. 17, 2021
The site in Kronberg im Taunus near Frankfurt/Main has been the headquarters of the new Nichia Europe GmbH since 1 August.

Tokushima, Japan – 17 September 2021: NICHIA, specialising in the production of high-efficiency and long-life LEDs for automotive, general lighting, laser and UV applications, is restructuring its European business, joining forces at its Kronberg site in the Taunus region near Frankfurt/Main. Until now, Kronberg was home to Nichia Chemical Europe GmbH, which looked after the business in the DACH region, while the office in Amsterdam, Nichia Europe BV, was responsible for the rest of Europe. Since 1 August, all European sales and marketing activities have been brought together under the new name Nichia Europe GmbH.

"The concentration on the German location is a clear commitment of the company to an even better offer to our customers," emphasises Ulf Meiners, Managing Director of the newly formed Nichia Europe GmbH. "Regardless of where in Europe our customers are located and in which countries they want to realise their projects with us - here they will find the right contact person, benefit from shorter response times and an even better availability of our experts for the most diverse requirements. This enables us to serve our customers even more efficiently and competently and helps our customers to realise their projects faster and thus more cost-effectively."

In order to offer this service comprehensively, NICHIA is bringing together its team of technical and sales experts for the most diverse markets in Kronberg and has more than doubled its previous number of employees at the Kronberg site for this purpose.
