CRS will manufacture Energizer-branded MR16, PAR20, PAR30 and PAR38 LED lamps.
LED lighting manufacturer CRS Electronics Inc. (TSX VENTURE: LED) has signed an exclusive agreement with Eveready Battery Company, Inc. a subsidiary of Energizer Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ENR), for CRS to manufacture a suite of LED lighting products under the brand name Energizer.

The initial group of products includes MR16, PAR20, PAR30 and PAR38 LED lamps. Shipping of the Energizer-branded LED lights is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2011. Future products developed by CRS may also be considered by Energizer.

Energizer said that CRS “was selected for their commitment to excellence in LED lighting technology capabilities and their history of innovation in the LED lighting industry."

Jim Olsen, Vice President of Marketing for Energizer North America, said: "Expanding our product line to include energy efficient LED lighting is a perfect complement to our global portfolio of innovative power and lighting technologies, and aligned with our new Now That's Positvenergy campaign, which communicates the message of power plus responsibility."

Scott Riesebosch, president of CRS Electronics, said that the agreement expands CRS’ product reach from the commercial space to retail, and from one product line to four.

Partnering with a premium, trusted brand validates our efforts and gives us a competitive edge in the marketplace," said Riesebosch. “We are thrilled with the opportunity and will continue to develop new LED products to support our relationship with Energizer."
