The Swedish lighting company Aura Light launches a new LED retrofit tube for replacement of T8 fluorescent tubes. It is used as a quick and easy solution to save energy up to 70% in existing luminaire installations. The LED tubbe is energy efficient and ideal for refrigeration, offices, supermarkets, retail, signage and all other applications with high switching frequencies.
Aura OptiT8 Long Life is a LED T8 retrofit tube that delivers high energy efficiency and quality of light and has a lifetime of at least 50,000 hours. It provides a high efficacy, of up to 160 lm/W and 70 % energy savings in comparison to T8 fluorescent tubes.

Aura OptiT8 Long Life is backed by a five-year guarantee. It has a rotatable cap which makes it possible to fine-tune the direction of the light after the installation. The end caps rotate 90 degrees in both directions. The LED light source has an integrated driver and heat sink suited to replace fluorescent T8 tubes operated by magnetic ballasts in existing installations. It is available in the colour temperatures 3000K, 4100K and 5000K and has a chromaticity tolerance of maximum 3 SDCM.
