Company that Brought Bluetooth Capability to In-Grade Luminaires Ups the Ante with RGBW Option

Greenville, SC – Hubbell Lighting, a global leader in lighting innovation, announced that Kim Lighting is raising the bar on color performance and durability by adding RGBW color changing to the 10 and 13 inch Lightvault 8, the industry's first Bluetooth controlled in-grade landscape LED luminaire.

Bluetooth wireless connectivity is now built directly into the Lightvault 8 unit outdoor LED luminaire or can be controlled by an advanced hard wired DMX 512 system. Both technologies empower designers and building facility owners to remotely aim and dim any individual luminaire optic as they see fit and target the main beam candela to an optimal position for the chosen task.

The recessed landscape luminaire features a maintenance free light engine that is impervious to water and debris, delivering the most durable, in-grade luminaire solution on the market today.

"We're in the business of elevating the lighting experience by bringing performance and control technologies and products to market that enhance the quality of light," said Kristopher Klicka, product manager at Kim Lighting. "When lighting designers asked for total flexibility, we developed the industry's first Bluetooth controlled in-grade luminaire, making it easier for them to make adjustments at any time after the installation is complete. Today we're excited to add RGBW for an infinite palette of color available in the palm of your hand."

Customers can use the Lightvault 8 RGBW outdoor LED luminaire to highlight foliage, flagpoles, sculptures, murals, plaques and other environmental and architectural areas through the Kim Remote application on any Android or iOS device. The optic moves 12 degrees in any direction for optimal positioning and variable dimming can be achieved to 20 percent in one percent increments through the use of a simple slider. Narrow flood and spot optics feature targeted Prismatic optics for up-light, highlights or accents.

The design of Lightvault 8 solves one of the biggest problems that have plagued in-grade luminaires for decades -- the ingress of water dust and debris -- by simply sealing the LED light engine and removing any possibility for environmental contamination. Kim Lighting guarantees the life of the light engine, thereby removing the risk of failure and enabling a permanent seal.
