Long Life Sylvania LED Light Bulbs Now Available Starting Under $3

More and more consumers have heard about the benefits of LED lighting, like long life and energy savings. The initial upfront cost or poor quality from low-cost options have kept many from enjoying the advantages though. Those concerns are gone now thanks to the new Sylvania 10-Year LED lighting family from Osram Sylvania. This first-to-market robust portfolio includes high-quality lighting solutions that last up to 10 years for all around your home, inside and out, at cost-effective price points like under $3 for a 60W replacement A19 LED light bulb and under $7.99 MSRP for a BR30 LED light bulb. Compared to similar LED products, this is a savings of around 50 to 70 percent. These products also have the traditional shape and deliver the superior glow that consumers know and enjoy, making them a great replacement for compact fluorescents.

“Consumers are used to sacrificing quality for cost. With our Sylvania 10-Year LED portfolio, they don’t have to when it comes to lighting their home,” said Alfred LaSpina, LED product group manager, Osram Sylvania. “Now, you can install exceptional LED lighting throughout your home that will last up to 10 years and save on your electricity bill, without having to break the bank. Given we’ve been around for over 100 years, Sylvania is a brand many people have grown up with in their homes. We take that honor very seriously and with our new Sylvania 10-Year LED Portfolio, we can light up this generation and the next into the future.”

Available now, Sylvania A19 LEDs replace 40 and 60 watt (W) traditional bulbs but use only 6W and 8.5W respectively. They provide instant on lighting, last up to 10 years with a rated life of up to 11,000 hours (L70), and are available in both 2700K (soft white) and 5000K (daylight) color temperatures and singular and in multi-packs. In addition, the Sylvania 10-Year LED Lighting Portfolio includes 75W and 100W replacement A19-size LED bulbs for when you need a little more illumination; solutions for track lighting such as R20, MR16, PAR16, PAR30, PAR30LN and PAR38 LED bulbs; and dimmable BR30 and BR40 light bulbs and RT5/6 LED Recessed Downlight Kits for the ceiling in various color temperatures ranging from warm white to cool white. These deliver energy savings up to 88 percent compared to incandescent light bulbs; are RoHS compliant; contain no mercury, lead or other hazardous materials; and emit no UV or IR radiation. For outdoor applications, the BR30, PAR20, PAR30LN and PAR38 LED bulbs are UL listed for use in damp locations, and the RT5/6 kits are suitable for dry, damp and wet locations.

“Many lighting companies are focused on inexpensive classic A19 light bulbs. Of course, this is important for the regular lamps you have in your home, which is why ours are under $3, and not just as a limited time exclusive deal,” said LaSpina. “The thing is, people don’t just have table and floor lamps. That is why we have created a full portfolio of cost-effective LED light bulbs that deliver high quality light from practically every socket.”

Products in the Sylvania 10-Year LED Portfolio are available now or in the near future at major retailers nationwide and online. For more information, visit www.osramamericas.com.
