Spark Optoelectronics' LED street lights illuminate Egypt's first solar thermal plant

Recently, Spark's high quality solar LED street lights, exported to Egypt through a Chinese government aided project, have all been properly installed and are now in operation, which confirms the passing of a variety of tests and examinations, and the recognition of the Chinese government of Spark's quality solar LED street light. This enables the company to enter and compete further in the international market, confidently.

This project is located in the Kuraymat area, east side of the Nile River, 92km south away from Cairo, the capital. It is initiated by Ministry of Commerce of China, designed by Zhongnan Engineering Corporation, affiliated with HydroChina. The project goal is to provide quality lighting to the first 150MW solar thermal plant of Egypt, and to help with the development of new and renewable energy technologies of the New & Renewable Energy Authority (NREA), Egypt.

After the proper installation, the solar street light system works in perfect stability, and at its optimal performance. The optic performance demonstrates accurate control, with good uniformity and a fabulous lighting effect; it proves to have exceeded the expectation in design, winning recognition and compliments from both Chinese side and Egyptian side.
