Domijump now offers nighttime LED lights for use on trampolines

Since LEDs were adopted over 30 years ago, they've become an integral part of lighting systems. This is attributed to their cost saving benefits and robust nature. They've been adopted in a number of applications such as in hi-fi systems, car lights, computers and advertising.

Recreational and sports trampolines also see an increased need for LED systems. It is important to note that the nighttime LED lights are an integral part of modern trampolines, especially the white and blue LEDs.

As trampolines were being integrated as part of gymnastic sport by 2000, the first LED with white light had been introduced in the market. Of course, this was after the Japanese scientis Shuji Nakamura had developed the first brilliant blue LED light in 1993.

As better LED lighting systems were developed, the first LEDs with 100 Lumens/watt in 2006 and LEDs with 250 Lumens/watt in 2010. These laid a better foundation for modern nighttime LED lights that are used on trampolines.

Features of LED light systems
These are low voltage night lighting systems that are bright and can provide endless fascination to trampoline users. These kits come with a complete kit with a 12v transformer. Most of them are connected to 2x5 meter LED light strips. A waterproof lead covers the side of the transformer. This makes it easier to install as compared to other night lighting systems.

This features the gallium aluminum arsenide (GaAlAs) technology that was introduced back in the 1980s. It is due to its superior performance. They are 10 times brighter than ordinary lights with an increased heterojunction, multi-layer structure. Of course, these LEDs had some drawbacks though they are relatively cheap.

The modern technology mainly features the Indium Gallium Aluminum Phosphide (InGaAIP). It is for this reason that most of these LED systems are characterized by a high energy band. The light output degradation has also improved significantly.

Moreover, other technologies such as the Metal Oxide Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) that was introduced by Toshiba are also being explored. Others include the Gallium Nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide (SiC). This is common in the nighttime LED lights for trampolines with blue LEDs. The blue LED lights are known for their high photon energies that are >2.5 eV.

Due to the increasing number of accidents, LED lights will enhance safety of people using trampolines at night.

2. The jump mat will appear transparent and it guarantees a better trampolining experience when combined with other LED lighting systems.
3. It is easy to install, waterproof and safe.

Developing reliable LED lighting systems to be used on trampolines has been a long journey. It involved innovations and this is still going on. Scientists are optimistic that they'll develop the best LED systems. As a matter of fact, there has been rapid market growth for this equipment. For instance, combining InGaAIP and MOCVD has led to the increased used of these nighttime LED lights in trampolines. The use of blue spectrum and white light have been some of the key pillars in the trampoline industry.
