Mediaglass designs light show for sports arena with LED-stripe-based video technology

Dec. 1, 2014
In Qatar Mediaglass has designed and installed the new Al Sadd Sport Stadium's video glass facades in September of this year. A computerised video light show has been integrated inside laminated glass pieces as a component of isolation glass units in the facade.

Mediaglass was developed as the thinnest and most advanced video screen system for use on glass facades. The LED stripe based technology is fully integrated inside laminated glass. While from the outside a screen with video playback ability for day and night visibility is displayed, on the inside there is always a very high transparency and natural penetration.

Integration with the arena architecture offers minimal difference between normal and specialty glass pieces. The Mediaglass worldwide patented system offers the lowest possible maintenance work and cost if necessary. This system allows operators to play video or still images, adding life to a building during the whole day and night with video presentation.

Specially developed software manages a perfect brightness level, adapted even to the darkest hours of the night as well as to direct sun incidence.
