Crestron makes executive appointments in keeping with automation and controls growth

April 3, 2014

More than 40 years ago, Founder George Feldstein followed a passion and vision to create a technology company that would aim to be the best at everything it did. Driven by his passion for engineering and his commitment to innovation, Crestron has become a world leader in automation, control and management systems.

Today, Crestron is a global company spanning every corner of the world with 91 offices, thousands of employees, and millions of customers. But despite the growth and success, Crestron remains true to its roots and Mr. Feldstein’s original vision: to be the best at what it does, and to always remain a family company.

As Chairman of Crestron, Mr. Feldstein continues to supply the passion that has made Crestron a leader in the industry, while empowering his top executives to help drive Crestron’s growth toward its next 40 years of success and beyond.

Randy Klein Named President and CEO
Mr. Feldstein has named Randy Klein President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Randy has been in the AV and technology industry throughout his professional career, and a member of the Crestron family for 25 years. “Crestron is my life and my passion,” Randy says. “Moving forward, I see nothing but opportunity for Crestron and I look forward to continued growth and success.”

Dan Feldstein Named Vice Chairman and COO
Additionally, Mr. Feldstein has named Dan Feldstein Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Dan has been with Crestron for over 20 years. With a background in computer engineering, Dan spent the first eight years of his Crestron career in R&D, playing a role in designing a number of the technologies we use today. Since then, he has been working directly with Mr. Feldstein to manage many of the company’s operations.

Looking to the Future
Dan and Randy will work side-by-side with the commitment to preserve Crestron’s core principles of being the best and remaining a family company. “Since the day Crestron was founded, we have never wavered from my father’s vision,” Dan says. “Randy has always shared that vision and over the years has truly become a member of the family. I can't think of anyone I'd rather work with as we drive Crestron towards the future."

As the industry continues to grow and change, Crestron continues to invest and evolve to better meet the needs of an expanding and very dynamic marketplace. Dan and Randy, together, state, “Our most valuable asset is our people. We are proud of each and every one of them and know they are all dedicated and committed to making a bigger and better Crestron, well-equipped to serve the industry, our dealers and our customers.”

Mr. Feldstein adds, “I’ve never been more excited about the future. We are working on so many exciting technologies and we have so many great people to make it happen.”

Crestron has also named Fred Bargetzi Chief Technology Officer, where he will continue to oversee the technology and engineering aspects of the business.

A Long History with the Crestron Family
Bargetzi joined Crestron 25 years ago and has been instrumental in growing and shaping the company to its current role as an industry leader. He has served a number of key positions in the company, from his humble beginnings as an applications engineer to creating and managing a wide variety of departments, including Technical Sales, Training, and R&D.

As the Vice President of Technology for the past 10 years, Bargetzi has been responsible for leading Crestron’s technology strategy in key areas including the new enterprise class .NET control platform, UI and mobile applications, and the industry changing DigitalMedia product line.

A Track Record for Innovation
His current title as CTO combines his engineering expertise with his passion for the business, and solidifies his role in helping drive Crestron’s success into the future.

“The potential for our business today and in the future is incredible. We have an amazing engineering team with world class talent, and working together we can ensure the company’s continued leadership role in technology,” Bargetzi said.

“For 25 years I have worked side by side with Fred. Over that time he has been responsible for helping shape much of the technology and success of the company. I look forward to a future filled with more of the same, as we lead Crestron toward even greater success," Klein added.
