Hatch Lighting expands LED driver business development team

TAMPA, FL - Hatch Lighting has announced that Patrick Kang and John Opila have joined the company to further develop the growing portfolio of regional and national accounts focusing on LED driver solutions. These two additions come with a wealth of experience and industry knowledge. Having spent a combined 40+ years in the lighting industry, Patrick and John will make welcomed editions to the Hatch team. Patrick joins Hatch as the director of business development - Midwest OEM. He has worked with several multinational companies including LG Electronics, Brooks Automation, Applied Materials and Philips Lighting. Most recently Patrick has been the general manager of LED business development for LG Innotek U.S.A. focusing on LED modules and drivers. Patrick’s 15 years of business development experience make him a welcomed addition to the Hatch Lighting team. John joins Hatch as the director of SSL business development. He started in the industry in 1978 working in the LED and semiconductor markets. He comes to Hatch with over 30 years in business development and EMSI global account management roles for HP, Agilent and Avago Technologies. In addition, for the past 5 years, John has been director of South East Sales for Bridgelux focusing on LED CoB technology. John’s 35 years of experience and expertise are welcomed assets and make him a key addition to the Hatch Lighting team.
