Lambda Research releases TracePro illumination and optical design software training dates in Europe

Feb. 19, 2015
Littleton, MA, USA – Lambda Research Corporation, the leading designer and manufacturer of illumination and optical design software, announces Winter TracePro® Training Courses, March 10-13, 2015 at the University of Applied Science in Thuringia, Germany. Three courses are planned; the first course is a two-day session comprised of standard TracePro introductory training; the second session focuses on teaching the optimization process using TracePro’s 2D and 3D interactive optimizers; and the third session focuses on performing stray light analysis. These sessions are intended to immerse users in the TracePro experience and ensure maximum productivity in the design software’s optical system design environment. TracePro offers the most powerful and sophisticated illumination and optical design and analysis software available for lighting, biomedical, and stray light analysis and particularly LED implementation into lamps, luminaires, and light pipes/guides. TracePro streamlines the prototype-to-manufacturing process by combining an intuitive 3D CAD interface, superior ray-tracing performance, advanced utilities, and seamless interoperability with other mechanical design programs. The latest release, TracePro v7.6, includes the capability to create repetitive features on curved surfaces, new diffuser catalogs, new macro editor and a simplified menu structure that broadens the program’s capabilities. The BrightView and Bayer Makrolon® diffuser sheet catalogs are now available as surface property catalogs in the TracePro v7.6 optical properties database. TracePro’s Source Editor has been expanded to operate on Grid and File sources. The incident ray table now includes Optical Path Length information for each ray. The solar utility has been enhanced to add multiple solar tracking solutions and to calculate turbidity over a period.
