Rebels' game day to be enhanced with installation of new display
BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Sam Boyd Stadium and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Rebels will be ready for football season this upcoming September with their new LED video display from Daktronics Inc. (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, S.D. Recently installed in Las Vegas, Nevada, the display will offer a new experience for UNLV players and fans.

"We are very excited about the addition of the new video board at Sam Boyd Stadium," said Sam Boyd Stadium Executive Director Mike Newcomb. "The new board is double the size of the old board and will make a huge difference for the fan experience at UNLV football games and all of the other events held at Sam Boyd Stadium."

The new display measures approximately 21 feet high by 48 feet wide and features a 15HD pixel layout. Capabilities of the display include highlighting live video and instant replays. The display can be divided into separate windows to show a variety of vivid graphics, colorful animations, up-to-the-minute statistics and sponsor advertisements.

The display incorporates excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility while providing multiple levels of protection from the elements.

"We appreciated the opportunity to continue our long standing relationship with UNLV," said Mark Johnson, Daktronics regional sales manager. "This new installation will add to the game-day experience for all fans."

"The new board would not have been possible without the help of UNLV Vice President Gerry Bomotti and our great partner Daktronics, who went above and beyond to make this board happen and get it up and running," said Newcomb.

Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with minimal maintenance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
