LightSPEC West prepares for in-person connection in Anaheim

Feb. 21, 2024
Attendees can take advantage of CEU programming, product demonstrations, and networking opportunities during the two-day event centered on architectural lighting in the built environment.

Endeavor Business Media’s LightSPEC West conference and expo continues to gain momentum in its second edition, with higher registration numbers at eight weeks out from the show compared to its 2022 event. Supported by EBM’s LightSPEC (formerly Architectural SSL) and LEDs Magazine, the biennial conference and expo will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center on April 17–18, 2024.

LightSPEC West is geared toward professionals involved in the production, distribution, specification, design, and application of LED-based architectural lighting products in the built environment.

UPDATE: At present, more than 1,000 attendees have registered to take part in the April event. In addition to regional California participation, representatives of more than 20 countries have also registered for the two days of exhibition, CEC-accredited sessions, and networking.

In-person events generate a level of interpersonal interaction that has yet to be attained with virtual conferences and exhibitions, according to event services firm Freeman, which presented its events study findings at a Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO) meeting. 71% of survey participants responded that their trust in brands increased following an in-person interaction at an event, and 75% of participants said that in-person events were the most trustworthy sources of information in their decision-making processes. Unexpectedly, 54% of participants cited face time with their colleagues as one of their primary reasons to attend live events.

“Given the transition to remote working for so many people, in-person industry events have become even more important in creating that sense of camaraderie and connection that is missing from our daily online routines,” said Janice Oliva, VP, group publisher for Lighting & Digital Infrastructure at Endeavor Business Media. “LightSPEC West offers a streamlined program that zeroes in on vital continuing education offerings, while allowing plenty of time to hold meaningful conversations about lighting solutions on the exhibit floor.”

Qualified professionals can register for free through April 1 at lightspecwest.com.
