Welcome to LEDs Magazine’s News & Insights for Nov. 29, 2023. Considering the U.S. Thanksgiving holidays last week, it’s been a pretty active seven days since our last newsletter. I can certainly credit our colleague Mark Halper, as he keeps a close watch on business activity coming out of the U.K. and Europe market, following up on talk of renewed connected lighting efforts by Fagerhult and Signify, as well as the latest financial results from Glamox.

I also got a chance to speak with Mark McClear yesterday in advance of today’s announcement that Casambi has elevated him from North American general manager to CEO of the controls specialist firm. McClear is confident that the case for wireless controls will continue to resonate due to reduced hardware costs, in addition to reduced materials and installation costs, that will help customers put their money toward better quality lighting products and other improvements.

Finally, we have included our most-read columns and blogs of 2023 below in the lead-up to our annual top 20 stories of the year. And look for our Annual LED & Lighting Industry Guide issue to land soon this year with an additional editorial section on building and construction trends that will continue to influence the lighting market.
