Gigahertz-Optik spectral-light-color meter delivers light qualification features across multiple applications

April 4, 2016
Gigahertz-Optik introduces a handy inexpensive spectral light & color meter for conventional and LED light source qualification and comparison.

The compact MSC15 spectral light & color meter measures scotopic & photopic illuminance, S/P ratio, color coordinates, CRI, CCT with color perception and light spectra.

The MSC15 spectral light & color meter is a must have tool for commercial and residential lighting professionals including lighting engineers, lighting designers, lighting manufacturers/distributors, facility managers, safety officers, architects & interior designers.

Two other measurement functions are available that can be switched off or on as required. One is Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) to evaluate the effectiveness of lighting in horticulture, agronomy, photosynthesis research and greenhouse design/maintenance.

The other is the measurement of effective bilirubin irradiance in the phototherapeutic treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia.

The MSC15 spectral light & color meter is easy to use with color touch-screen operation. The user is prompted through dark current cancellation (zeroing) which is performed by a mechanical shutter without a zeroing cap. The meter is cosine corrected with an f2 ?3% for spatially accurate measurement in full light immersion applications like parking lot lighting.

User software, USB interface which recharges the MSC15 battery and traceable calibration certification to international standards are supplied with the meter. Optional SDK is available.
