Philips has introduced its newest ceramic discharge metal-halide (CDM) lighting solution, the MasterColour CDM Evolution family of lamps.

Philips has released the MasterColour CDM Evolution family of lamps, which features high efficacy lamps with life spans of 20,000 hours and a CRI of 90. The lamps are designed to IEC standards and can be retrofit if used with electronic gear, allowing an upgrade of metal-halide or ceramic-metal-halide lamps in existing luminaires.

“When looking for the perfect lighting source that matches the needs of retailers the CDM Evolution range is nearing perfection when it comes to quality,” says Ruud van der Zanden, Business Development CDM systems. “It has a unique and superb colour consistency over the entire life of the lamp. It will deliver on the promise to make a shop look irresistible, season after season with the brightest light and with an extensive, rich set of colours. Our MASTERColour CDM Evolution adds sparkle that lasts.”

The new family features an efficacy of 120 lm/W, along with a life span of 20,000 hours. The family provides white light, and is available in 20W and 35W versions with a color temperature of 3000K. These current lamps are available for G12 and G8.5 lamp holders. The range will be extended throughout the year, and will be extended to 50W and 70W versions.
