Opto Diode Introduces 3rd in a Series of Narrow-Spectral-Output Ultraviolet LEDs - OD-265-003

March 11, 2019
Opto Diode introduces the third device in a series of narrow-spectral-output ultraviolet light-emitting diodes (UVLEDs), the OD-265-003. The UVLED with lens features a narrow radiation pattern and total power output of 0.5 mW (minimum) to 0.58 mW (typical). The newest device in Opto Diode’s family of ultraviolet LEDs is housed in a hermetically-sealed TO-46 package, making it convenient to integrate into existing or new systems. Electro-optical characteristics (at 25° C) include emission wavelengths ranging from 260 nm (minimum) to 270 nm (maximum), with a typical peak emission at 265 nm. The spectral bandwidth is 13 nm (typical), the half-intensity beam angle is only 9 degrees, forward voltage is 5 volts (typical) to 6.5 volts (maximum), and capacitance is 350 pF (typical). The new, narrow-spectral-output UVLED offers long-lifetime operation and is well-suited for disinfection applications. All devices in Opto Diode’s UVLED family feature operating temperature ranges from -30 °C to +80 °C and storage temperature ranges from -40 °C to 100 °C.
