CARSON, Calif., October 30, 2023 – DMF Lighting, a leading architectural lighting manufacturer of premium modular LED downlighting systems, today announced that it has expanded its H Series family to include 3-inch fire-rated new construction housings — in accordance with UL 263 for up to two hours of protection — and 3-inch wall- and pendant-mount cylinders. Ideal for multi-family and commercial builds, the LED products feature field-selectable lumens; Warm Dim technology; high-quality performance and construction; and a modular design for easy, below ceiling serviceability — all at an attainable cost.
Launched to offer varying price points to meet a wide range of application needs, the products add to DMF Lighting’s current offering of 2- and 4-inch modular recessed downlighting systems, surface-mount downlights and its other 3- and 4-inch architectural modular cylinders.

DMF’s modular design, which consists of the housing, light engine module and trim, features a field-selectable lumen switch on the module, allowing for a choice of three brightness levels (350, 750 or 950 lumens) for various application requirements, including higher ceiling heights up to 12 feet.
The Warm Dim technology (3000K – 2200K and 2700K – 1800K) provides a warm white light for accurate illumination at full brightness that smoothly transitions to a relaxing sunset effect, all while keeping color consistency from fixture to fixture.
The products feature accurate color quality with a 90+ color rendering index (CRI) and color variation is kept within a 3-step MacAdam ellipse. The same light engine module is used in both the downlights and cylinders, guaranteeing performance and color consistency across a campus.
The pendant cylinder is 8 ½ inches in total length and features a Decorative Trims that is 5 ½ inches long. They pendant has an 8-inch rigid stem and a 40-inch field-cuttable cord for maximum flexibility. The pendant cylinder is offered in White and Stain Nickel. The wall-mount cylinder is offered in White and Black and is 6 ½ inches in total length and features a Round Beveled trim.
Perfect for apartments, townhomes, condominiums, senior living facilities, student housing and hotel rooms, among others, the products meet popular sustainable design goal initiatives. The products are Declare Listed for Living Building Challenge and LEED projects, and is California’s Title-24 JA8 and ENERGY STAR® compliant. The wall-mount cylinder is IP65 rated for outdoor use. The downlights are wet location listed. The pendant is damp location listed.
