The accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 is awarded by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), and the standard is endorsed by the Department of Energy and the Illumination Engineering Society (IES).The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) administers the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), accrediting public and private laboratories based on evaluation of their technical qualifications and competence to carry out specific calibrations or tests."The rapid growth of LED technology has resulted in increased customer interest and the need for accurate measurements to industry standards in LED quality and performance," said Arvind Baliga, Ph.D., Vice President of Engineering at Luminus Devices.
