Date Announced: 07 Jun 2005 Off-the-shelf line voltage dimmers work with new EnbrytenLED electronic ballast technologySeamless Integration with Conventional Lighting Control Technology Reduces Cost and Complexity Tustin, CA – Tuesday, June 07, 2005 – Permlight Products announced today that it will begin offering dimmable versions of its popular EnbrytenLED line of residential and commercial general illumination luminaires and light engines for luminaire manufacturers as early as July 2005. The new line of patent pending Enbryten electronic ballasts work with any off-the-shelf low cost line voltage phase control dimmers available on the market. Additionally, the new line will also work with any lighting control systems that control incandescent or halogen sources. “Our upcoming introduction of the dimmable Enbryten electronic ballasts marks Permlight’s continued leadership in developing clever low cost solutions that address the needs of the market,” commented Manuel Lynch, President and CEO of Permlight. “Most competitive LED solutions rely on low voltage secondary side power limited custom dimmers that become communication nightmares with other lighting control technologies. Our new primary side line voltage phase control dimmable technology enables lighting designers, home builders, and luminaire manufacturers to use reliable and robust technology that has been commonly used for the last 50 years.” Permlight’s EnbrytenLED dimmable electronic ballast technology greatly reduces LED system cost and integration complexity and paves a road for faster adoption in general illumination. Permlight will first offer its popular Enbryten Step, Walkway, and PlugNLite LED luminaires as well as its 1X Luminaire Component architecture in the dimmable technology as early as the beginning of July 2005. The company plans on introducing its Enbryten Down recessed can trim and Enbryten Spot wall washer with the dimmable technology as early as the end of July 2005. Permlight will also offer its 250Watt power supply technology featuring line voltage phase control dimming of its new Enbryten Cove product by September of 2005. The dimmable architecture has already been specified for use in production home applications in the State of California and will be offered as standard features to new home buyers.
