Mark Nicholson is Vice President of the Zemax Group within Radiant Zemax and is also responsible for the Measurement Services and Technical Support teams. Prior to joining Radiant Zemax at its formation in 2011, Mark was Vice President, Operations of Zemax Development Corporation. Mark brings 30 years of experience in the optics and illumination industries, and almost 20 years of Zemax experience, to the company. Mark is responsible for technical support, training and sales and marketing for the Zemax and Measurement Services product lines, and is the author of many Knowledge Base articles on optical and illumination design using Zemax.
Prior to joining the RadiantZemax, Mark was Technical Director at Optima Research, and has held several consulting and technical management roles. Mark earned a Ph.D. in Plasma Spectroscopy from Imperial College, University of London in 1983 and a Bachelor's degree on Physics also from Imperial College in 1979.
