TIR Systems Ltd. (Vancouver, BC, Canada) has announced the receipt of orders totaling $1.4 million for its Destiny Series of architectural Solid State Lighting (SSL) products. This revenue is expected to be recognized in fiscal 2005.

The Destiny Series consists of six products which address a wide range of functional requirements for architectural lighting applications. The products are Destiny CW, Destiny CG, Destiny CV, Destiny DL, Destiny SL and Destiny LP.

"These orders represent a range of applications in North America, Europe, Japan and the Middle East", states Darren Luce, VP Global Sales, Commercial/Industrial Markets. "TIR has experienced a great deal of interest and uptake with lighting designers in these regions who are looking for solutions that are optically sophisticated and offer high performance. The Destiny Series has been engineered and built to deliver these benefits."

All except Destiny CW were launched into the global markets starting in March 2004 at Lightfair International in Las Vegas followed soon after at Light+Building 2004 in Frankfurt, and Elenex 2004 and World Lightfair 2004 in Hong Kong and Japan respectively. The majority of these orders are for the newly launched products.
