Date Announced: 04 Jan 2007 Hackensack, NJ. -- UV15-7LRI is an optically clear UV curable polymer system formulated by Master Bond Inc to have a low 1.481 refractive index. UV15-7LRI produces durable, tough, non-yellowing and chemically resistant bonds, seals or coatings with excellent optical and electrical insulation properties. Its tensile strength is a significant 2830 psi and its specific resistance is 1x1016 ohm-cm. The UV cured polymeric material can be employed over the wide service temperature range of -50°C to +150°C (-60 to 300°F). Cured UV15-7LRI exhibits a most desirable combination of properties including outstanding durability, toughness, thermal shock resistance as well as excellent adhesion to many different substrates ranging from glass and iron to polyester films and polycarbonates. Typical cure times range from as little as 5 seconds at ambient temperatures and unlike many other commercially curable UV curing products, the Master Bond UV15-7LRI system is not inhibited by air. In addition, it exhibits this desirable fast curing rate even in section thicknesses of 1/8-inch and has a low thermal expansion coefficient of 18x10-5/deg.C. UV15-7LRI is now available in syringes for convenient manual or automatic dispensing as well as in pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon containers.About Master BondMaster Bond is a manufacturer of high performance adhesives, sealants, coatings, potting and encapsulation compounds and impregnation resins. The product line offers over 3,000 grades of specially designed formulations of acrylics, anaerobics, cyanoacrylates, epoxies, latex, polyamides, polyurethanes and silicone systems to provide an optimal solution for even the most extreme applications.
