Date Announced: 14 Dec 2006 New HV7801 & HV7802 Work With Supply Voltages of 8V to 450VSUNNYVALE, Calif., -– Supertex (NASDAQ: SUPX), a recognized leader in high-voltage analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs), today introduced two new high side current monitor ICs, the HV7801 and the HV7802. Both ICs feature a very wide operating range of 8V-450V. Both the HV7801 and the HV7802 boast fast rise and fall times of 700ns, low quiescent currents of 50uA, and space-saving packages. They are well suited for markets such as motor controls, off-line sensors, instrumentation amplifiers, and current sensing for high voltage LED drivers, batteries, and switched- mode power supplies. “With their wide input voltage range, fast response time and low quiescent current, the HV7801 and HV7802 are well suited for a vast array of current sensing applications,” states Ahmed Masood, Vice President of Marketing for Supertex. “While the HV7801 features a fixed gain of five, the HV7802 also allows users the additional flexibility of programming the voltage or transconductance gain.”The HV7801 is available in a 5-lead SOT23 package (HV7801K1-G) and the HV7802 is available in an 8-lead MSOP package (HV7802MG-G). The parts are “Green” and RoHS compliant. Samples are available from stock. Lead time for production quantities is 6-8 weeks ARO. Pricing is US$0.56 each for the HV7801K1-G, and US$0.62 each for the HV7802MG-G, both in 1K quantities.About SupertexSupertex, Inc. is a publicly held mixed signal semiconductor manufacturer, focused on high voltage products for use in the telecommunication, networking system, flat panel display, medical, automotive and industrial electronics industries.
